Overview

The purpose of this module is to educate health departments and partner agencies on the advantages of peer navigation and to create navigation systems to assist MSM of color in accessing comprehensive HIV prevention and care services.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Web-based activity designed to educate health departments and partner agencies on the advantages of peer navigation and to create navigation systems to assist MSM of color in accessing comprehensive HIV prevention and care services.

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of the session, the participant will be able to:

Identify four positive health outcomes for MSM of color who are engaged in HIV navigation services
Discuss three qualities of an effective peer navigator
Name the eight steps to establishing a peer navigation program
Describe the importance of inter-professional collaboration in HIV prevention and care
