Overview

This module is intended to improve HIV testing and linkage to care and prevention services for men of color who have sex with men.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This activity is designed to build the competencies of clinical staff and primary care providers to implement HIV testing to improve prevention efforts for MSM of color.

OBJECTIVES: At the conclusion of the session, the participant will be able to:

1. Explain the important of linkages to care as a prevention method for MSM of Color.

2. Identify at least 2 disparities characterizing populations of MSM of Color in accessing HIV testing and follow-up care.

3. Describe three practices that can enhance HIV testing in clinical care settings.

4. Describe two strategies that can bring HIV testing into MSM of Color communities.

5. Describe the importance of interprofessional collaboration in HIV prevention and care.
